The following is a study of the influence of Akzidenz Grotesk(1898) by Günter Gerhard Lange on the typographic landscape of san serif/grotesk fonts. This study compares the similarities & differences between the letterforms found in “grotesk” to better understand what qualities of the original typeface may be still found.
